hint of fall at end of summer,
hint of summer in midst of spring
welcome change of something other
gives me hope for better things
'cause i've been stuck in ruts and gutters
for longer than i care to say
but i know that a time is coming
when all these things will be
washed away...
this isn't to say that i'm not trying
or wrestling it out for all i'm worth
but more to say that i've been rescued
by One who knew me before my birth
